Practice Information

As a counsellor, I work with people who are often carrying more than others realize. This includes adults who have spent much of their lives being "the responsible one," as well adults with ADHD and/or Autism, who are seeking individual or relationship counselling.

If you're someone who has spent a long time carrying more than your share, feeling misunderstood, or struggling to hold things together in your life or relationships, you're not alone. You may be the one everyone counts on, while quietly running on fumes and wondering why it feels so hard to make space for yourself.

You may be:

  • Feeling overwhelmed by how much you're holding
  • Struggling with guilt, boundaries, or asking for what you need
  • Masking, burning out, or dealing with sensory overwhelm
  • Getting stuck in relationship patterns where you feel misunderstood or alone
  • Wondering who you are outside of being the capable one

In our work together, we slow things down and get curious about what's underneath. We look at the places where you get stuck, process emotions, and explore how these patterns formed. Together, we build practical skills that fit you, so change can feel more supportive and sustainable over time.

My work is in supporting adults who are tired of carrying so much on their own, whether that’s shaped by over-responsibility, neurodivergence or a more nuanced dynamic occurring relationally. In relationship counselling, I specialize in working with neurodiverse couples, where one or both people are neurodivergent. Sometimes what looks like a communication problem on the surface is shaped by something deeper, like sensory overwhelm, shutdown, or feeling especially sensitive to criticism or rejection. Together, we slow down those cycles, make sense of what each person is experiencing, and build ways of communicating that help both people feel more understood.

If this resonates, you're welcome to reach out. I offer a free, no-pressure phone consultation so we can explore what you're looking for and see if working together feels like a good fit.

Recovering from Neurodivergent Burnout

Are you feeling totally exhausted? Do even small daily tasks feel impossible? You might be experiencing neurodivergent burnout. This is more than just being tired. It happens when your brain and body are working too hard in a world that isn’t built for neurodivergent people. As a neurodivergent therapist, I want you to know: burnout is not your fault. Your brain and body are just telling you to slow down. Recovery is not about “fixing yourself.” It’s about resting, taking care of yourself, and finding ways to live that work for you. What Burnout Feels Like Some common signs of burnout include…
