Practice Information

Healing is not just about understanding the past , it’s about transforming the way it shapes your present. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to break free from old emotional patterns, but I also believe that meaningful change is possible with the right support. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, self-doubt, or relationship struggles, often caught in cycles that feel impossible to escape. My work is centered on helping you untangle these patterns, process deep emotional wounds, and cultivate a sense of inner balance and resilience.

I’m Nazanin (Naz), Registered Clinical Counselor and Counseling Art Therapist with around a decade of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, trauma, the effects of narcissistic abuse, or disordered eating patterns, I provide a supportive and insightful space to help you untangle what’s holding you back. My approach is rooted in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), psychoanalytic insight, and experiential techniques, allowing us to explore deep emotions while also creating practical change.

For couples, I specialize in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT), a proven approach that helps partners break free from conflict cycles and build a deeper, more secure bond. Many couples find themselves stuck in patterns of blame, withdrawal, or misunderstanding—reacting rather than truly communicating. In our work together, I help couples recognize the underlying emotions and unmet needs driving these patterns. Instead of getting caught in the same fights, you’ll learn to express your feelings in a way that fosters connection rather than distance. By creating a safe emotional space, we can rebuild trust, deepen intimacy, and strengthen the foundation of your relationship.

For families, I offer Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), which helps family members move beyond frustration and disconnection to build stronger, more secure relationships. Family conflict is often driven by unspoken fears, unmet needs, and long-standing patterns that can make communication feel difficult or even impossible. Through EFFT, we explore these emotional undercurrents, helping each family member feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether you’re facing parent-child struggles, sibling tension, or deeper wounds from the past, this approach fosters understanding, empathy, and trust—creating a more supportive and connected family dynamic.

Therapy is more than just understanding your struggles—it’s about reclaiming your life, your relationships, and your sense of self. If you're ready to take that step, I’d love to walk this path with you.

"The Cycle of Anger and Shame: Breaking Free from the Emotional Trap"

Shame and anger are two powerful emotions that often show up in our lives, sometimes in tandem, and they can have a profound effect on our emotional well-being and relationships. While they are distinct, they frequently intertwine, creating a cycle that can be difficult to break. Understanding the complex relationship between shame and anger is key to gaining control over them, and more importantly, to finding a path toward healing and emotional growth.
