Practice Information
Hi, I’m so glad you’re here.
If you’re feeling stuck in relationships, struggling with your mental health, or facing a big life change — you’re not alone. Grief, anxiety, and stress can prevent us from living fully. Life can be a lot sometimes, and it’s okay to want support navigating it.
Counselling can give you a space to pause, untangle what’s going on, and figure out how to move forward. Together, we can work on challenging your self-limiting beliefs, building self-awareness, and learning to be kinder to yourself. Sometimes, all it takes is having someone in your corner — or a gentle nudge in a new direction.
I am friendly, warm, and real. There are times when the mood will be serious, and other times when lightness and laughter will be in the space. Working with me is always collaborative and centred around your goals and desires. When appropriate, I will offer psychoeducation and guidance.
Alongside traditional talk therapy, I often bring in tools from yoga and mindfulness to help connect mind and body. Breathwork and body-based (somatic) practices can help you move through emotions in a way that goes beyond words — especially when talking about it isn’t enough.
I pull from a mix of approaches — Narrative Therapy, somatic and mindfulness-based practices, Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and CBT — so we can create a way of working that feels right for you.
If this sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d love to connect.
Hi! My name is Wendy.
From a young age, I knew my calling was to support people on their healing journeys and help create a world rooted in compassion and equity. As a fourth-generation Japanese Canadian, I carry the legacy of my ancestors, who faced oppression and racism. Their experiences have instilled in me a deep commitment to working with cultural sensitivity and honoring diversity in all that I do.
For years, I have worked with marginalized communities in the Vancouver area in various roles, from supporting young offenders to providing health services for vulnerable individuals. With over 20 years of experience teaching yoga to seniors, training in yoga therapy, and working as a nutritionist for more than 14 years, I integrate mind-body practices into my approach to healing.
I have personally experienced loss, grief, and my own shadow sides. These moments of struggle and transformation have shaped me, deepening my awareness, compassion, and resilience. I believe in creating a space where healing is not only possible but deeply supported.
