Counselling Practice Website
Practice Information
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor, EMDR-trained and actively providing trauma-focused therapy for adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My clinical work centers on trauma and complex trauma (including sexual assault and exploitation), attachment injuries within families and relationships, and perinatal mental health across fertility, pregnancy, and the postpartum period.
Who I work with:
- Adults and couples experiencing trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, or relationship ruptures
- Adolescents and families, including teens described as high-risk or who are skeptical about counselling
- People facing fertility, pregnancy, or postpartum challenges who need care that recognizes medical, relational, and cultural contexts
I offer trauma‑informed, evidence-based care with EMDR as a core intervention when appropriate. I integrate attachment-focused work, relational repair, and skills-based strategies (emotional regulation, grounding, and communication) tailored to each person’s pace and readiness. With teens I prioritise building a strong therapeutic alliance while actively engaging family supports when helpful.
What to expect in therapy
- Safety and collaboration: we move at a pace that feels tolerable and empowering
- Practical tools and deeper processing: short-term symptom relief alongside work on underlying patterns and relationships
- Contextual sensitivity: attention to the medical, social, and cultural layers that shape experiences of fertility, pregnancy, and parenting
