At Here Beside Counselling in Victoria, BC, I offer trauma-focused counselling for adults who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, complex trauma, relationship struggles, shame, or a sense of disconnection. Many clients I meet describe feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. My goal is to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can begin to explore what feels most important to you, at a pace that feels manageable.
I am a certified clinical counsellor with a Master’s degree in Counselling. My approach integrates models such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST), and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT). These evidence-based approaches support deeper connection — to yourself, to others, and to what matters most in your life.
Some areas I focus on include:
- Complex trauma and developmental/attachment trauma — the lasting effects of repeated neglect, abuse, or unmet needs.
- Emotional health — working with anxiety, depression, shame, grief, and self-criticism.
- Men’s counselling — exploring vulnerability, identity, and relationships in a way that feels safe and supportive.
- Relational challenges — addressing struggles in connection, communication, and trust.
Counselling is not about having all the answers in advance, but about taking the next step toward greater clarity, healing, and resilience. Whether you are looking to process past experiences, strengthen your sense of self, or create more fulfilling relationships, I will meet you with steadiness, care, and respect.
