Counselling Practice Website
Practice Information
Are you feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, and/or compassion fatigue, yet you have to support and care for others? I have been there and know how difficult that can be. I am here to support you so you can support everyone else.
Who I work with:
I work with anyone who resonates with the term "helper", "carer" or "healer". This includes counsellors, caregivers, parents, healthcare/administrative staff, emergency services staff, support line staff, advocates and teachers. Perhaps none of these terms describe you, but you resonate with feeling depleted from being a person everyone leans on.
What to expect:
Let's work together to find real solutions. You deserve to support yourself as much as you support others. As a trauma and somatic therapist, I focus on an embodied approach that means you are not just talking about it. We will go deeper, figuring out what works for you so you are equipped with resources to support yourself.
Who I am:
As a perpetual helper, I have been in a caring profession of some kind for over 8 years. I have worked supporting children, families, parents, caregivers, frontline and healthcare staff. I have experienced vicarious trauma, grief, and burnt out from various positions. I am also neurodivergent, so I know how systems are not set up for folks with different abilities or needs. As a counsellor, I am inherently person-centered, creative, and believe humor can be healing, which all play a part in how I show up in the room with you.
I welcome any questions you may have and encourage you to reach out. I look forward to speaking with you soon.
