Practice Information
Feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break? You don’t have to go through this alone.
My name is Shima, and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with over 10 years of experience supporting youth, adults, and families through anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. I work with individuals who may look “okay” on the outside but feel disconnected, anxious, or emotionally drained on the inside.
I provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can speak openly and begin to make sense of what you’re experiencing. Together, we work through concerns such as:
- Anxiety, chronic stress, and overthinking
- Depression, emotional numbness, and loss of motivation
- Trauma and unresolved emotional pain
- Relationship and family conflicts
- Grief, loss, and major life transitions
- Parenting stress and emotional burnout
My approach is practical, supportive, and evidence-based, integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Positive Psychology. Therapy with me focuses on helping you build effective coping tools, strengthen emotional resilience, and reconnect with a sense of meaning and direction in your life.
I have a special interest in working with individuals experiencing depression, supporting them in moving from survival mode toward greater clarity, balance, and emotional well-being.
Sessions are offered in English and Farsi, and I warmly welcome clients from all backgrounds.
