Hello and a warm welcome!
I’m Rahul Minhas, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and EMDR Clinician passionate about supporting youth and adults as they navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re facing addiction, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, PTSD, or relationship difficulties, I’m here to help you process, heal, and grow. In addition to this, I offer family counselling, drawing from my experience as a school counsellor for SD36 and a support counsellor with the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
My Approach:
I believe in creating a compassionate and supportive space where you feel seen, understood, and empowered, while providing individual plans and mental health exercises to engage in. Together, we’ll explore how past experiences, current struggles, and future goals connect, working to break unhelpful patterns and foster emotional well-being. My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies tailored to your unique needs, including:
- EMDR Therapy: For trauma processing and healing.
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): To reshape thoughts and behaviors.
- Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT): To develop emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness skills.
- Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS): To deepen self-awareness and inner harmony.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): To build psychological flexibility and values-based living.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI): To enhance motivation and commitment to change.
- Inner Child Therapy: To heal past wounds and nurture self-compassion
Areas of Focus:
- Addiction: Supporting recovery with a personalized plan and building emotional regulation.
- Anxiety & Depression: Managing overwhelming emotions and building strength.
- Grief & Loss: Navigating loss and finding meaning.

With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds in schools, community clinics, and government settings. This diverse experience has shaped my understanding of how unique each journey is—and how meaningful therapeutic support can be. Taking the first step toward change can feel challenging, but you don’t have to do it alone. Schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss how I can support you in achieving your goals.
I am an approved provider with both ICBC and the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP), allowing clients to access funded counselling support through these programs.
If you are eligible, I can help you navigate the process and begin therapy with coverage in place.
