Practice Information
I am a psychotherapist, educator, approved clinical supervisor, and author with 20 years of experience in social work, counselling, and education. I provide virtual clinical counselling throughout British Columbia. I am a registered clinical counsellor and approved clinical supervisor (RCC-ACS) affiliated with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). My expertise includes trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief and loss, relationship challenges, burnout, and a range of other concerns.
I have successfully worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including neurodivergent people, immigrants, BIPOC communities, LGBTQ2SIA+ individuals, and those with developmental and physical disabilities. As an ally to equity-seeking groups, I draw on lived experiences to recognize the vital importance of safety as a foundation for collaboration and for creating an inclusive culture that supports psychological well-being.
I am dedicated to ongoing relational and formal learning, collaborating with equity-seeking individuals while upholding kindness, respect, and a strength-based approach. With a keen awareness of privilege and inequality, I strive to create a sense of psychological safety, foster respectful relationships, and inspire ongoing collaboration. My aim is to cultivate a safe, adaptable, accountable, and empowering therapeutic environment rooted in trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practices.
I hold a PhD in Counselling Psychology, with specializations in trauma-informed practices and the psychological impact of emerging technologies. I have published work on persuasive technology and mental well-being. I am a former NCAA graduate, and I collaborate with Canadian Olympic athletes, leveraging performance-driven data and strategies to foster meaningful personal growth.
