Practice Information

The Iron Mind Project is a men-focused counselling practice supporting adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, low mood, anger, confidence, motivation, relationships, life transitions, and feeling stuck. My approach is grounded, collaborative, and compassionate. I aim to create a space where clients can speak honestly without judgment while also developing practical tools they can use outside of the session.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, person-centred therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused approaches. In session, we may explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and patterns; clarify goals and values; build coping strategies; strengthen communication; and develop healthier ways of responding to stress, conflict, and self-doubt. I believe counselling should feel accessible, real, and useful—not overly clinical or intimidating.

My background in social work, youth and family services, disability support, and personal training informs my understanding of mental health. I recognize that emotional well-being is connected to relationships, environment, identity, routine, confidence, and the body. For many clients, especially men and young men, counselling can be a place to slow down, make sense of what is happening internally, and begin building a stronger foundation.

Clients often come to me when they are tired of carrying everything alone, struggling to express themselves, feeling pressure to perform, or unsure how to move forward. My role is to help clients feel understood while also supporting meaningful growth, accountability, and change. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, confidence issues, emotional overwhelm, or a general sense of disconnection, we can work together to build clarity, resilience, and direction.
