Dr. Ned Baess is a registered psychologist in British Columbia (CHCPBC #1682) with over 30 years of experience in mental health care. He earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology, Chicago, in 2003 and completed advanced training in psychological assessment and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) at the Royal Jubilee Hospital (RJH) and Urgent Short Term Assessment and Treatment (USTAT) clinic in Victoria, B.C.

Dr. Baess worked with Island Health for nearly three decades, beginning in emergency mental health outreach and later providing psychotherapy, neuropsychological assessment, consultation, and group therapy across inpatient and outpatient services. He also led a CBT mentorship program for clinicians and psychiatrists, supervised UVic Clinical Psychology PhD students, and taught Social Anxiety courses through UVic Continuing Studies.

Now in private practice, Dr. Baess offers individualized, evidence-based treatment to clients integrating CBT, Mindfulness-Based CBT, Interpersonal Therapy, Adlerian Psychology, and Positive Psychology. He works with adults from ages 19 to 75.

As a Registered Psychologist who operates under the Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA), the privacy and confidentiality rights of Dr. Baess’ clients are legally protected.
