No one needs to be alone and feel isolated during difficult times. Let’s have a conversation to work together to explore and practice different coping strategies and get the support you need. 

Monique is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Canadian Certified Counsellor, with over 10 years of experience working with youths, students, parents and adults in managing their academic, career and life transitions in educational institutions and the workplace. She offers individual counselling, family counselling, and career exploration services in the Lower Mainland. She is also a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and an EMDR trained therapist. 

Monique’s work has been involved with complex issues including child abuse, sexual violence, traumatic events, self-harm, panic attacks, immigrant and cultural adjustment, sexual orientation, visible and invisible illnesses, grief and loss. She takes on a collaborative approach in co-creating a safe and supportive environment to understand how your experience impact your life and find ways to be able to enjoy and live your life as fully as possible again.

Monique is committed to ongoing professional training and workshops.

Monique believes that changes not only happen during sessions but also outside of the therapy room as well. She shares techniques and strategies during sessions and encourage you to try them in your daily life. This approach is intended to catalyze the therapeutic process to help your brain to learn new tools.
