Reaching out for support is a courageous step.
There are times when we need someone to walk alongside us, offering perspective, encouragement, and support.
I am a mama of four, cold plunger, certified educator, CHD survivor and counsellor based in North Vancouver.
I hold a deep belief that our stories reside within our minds, hearts, and bodies. Guided by this understanding, I utilize a trauma-informed, integrative approach that incorporates attachment-based somatic therapy. This method allows me to connect with clients of all ages facing a variety of challenges, including parenting issues, medical trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, C-PTSD, relationship difficulties, grief, and significant life transitions.
I love to work with families, individuals, and children from diverse backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, cultures, and identities in North Vancouver and virtually across BC. I work to support and honour them in cultivating self-compassion, inner connection and a deeper relationship with themselves. My work is informed by understanding the importance of somatics, movement, art, play and relationships in (re) connecting with our inner wisdom, resilience and the strength to face and transform the painful memories and patterns we carry.
I am committed to feminist, antiracist principles and am an ally to the 2SLGBTQ community. If you've been feeling overwhelmed, sad, alone, misunderstood or struggle to name and understand what is going on for you, I can support you in getting to the roots or heart of old or uncomfortable patterns. In our sessions, I can support you in experiencing, embodying, and learning new patterns and strategies that empower you to build capacity to cope and balance life stresses like:
- complex grief or momentous life changes (loss of loved ones, relationship changes)
- medical trauma (diagnosis, coping with chronic illness, grief)
- anxiety and dysregulated nervous systems
- panic attacks and stress related issues
- family relationships and patterns
- gender transition, dysphoria identity
- coping with learning challenges, school systems
- relationship complexities
My approach is trauma-sensitive, inclusive, and deeply authentic, reflecting my commitment to working humbly alongside each unique individual. In my practice, I utilize mindful and somatic techniques, allowing clients to ground themselves in the meaningful work of therapy and integrate their nervous system into the healing process. I work with clients of all ages, addressing a variety of challenges including parenting issues, medical trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship difficulties. It is a true privilege to hold space for your experiences and to be attuned to your journey.
My own journey has been profoundly shaped by living with a congenital heart condition, which inspired my research and thesis on early childhood medical trauma and effective therapeutic techniques for those facing chronic or childhood illnesses. This background informs my understanding of the complexities of each person’s unique experiences with trauma, highlighting the importance of early intervention and strong family attachments. This personal experience has not only deepened my understanding of the challenges many faces, but it has also equipped me to be present with others during difficult times. I find great fulfillment in working with children, teens, and families navigating medical trauma, as my own research into embodied trauma enhances my ability to stay steady and supportive alongside those I work alongside. A lot of my client base are humans that have emergency procedures, chronic illness, pain or prolonged challenges with their health or a member of their family. Through my lived experiences and training, I have developed an approach that could be described as
- client-centered
- strengths-based
- collaborative
- compassionate
I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust can lead to recovery, balance, and restorative healing. To help clients to achieve their mental, emotional, and spiritual potential. I prioritize equity and strive to create a safe space for each person to process their experiences, finding belonging, identity, and meaning.
Currently, I am continuing my training in play therapy and keep a portion of my client load open for children who are neurodiverse, experiencing medical challenges, or navigating family changes.
If you ever feel I’m not the best match for you, I encourage open dialogue so we can either adjust our dynamic or help you find a more suitable fit. I have a wide circle of colleagues that I can connect you with.

As a somatic grief counsellor, I know in my body and mind that grief is unpredictable and shows up for us in the classic moments of a special holiday or date and also in the normal moments of daily life. It could be the smell of a blanket, someone’s voice, the quiet of sitting together, the taste of a soup or a feeling you have that awakens the memories. The rhythm of ordinary days continues even when remembering or experiencing a goodbye. In my own life, loss ebbed and flowed. I carry the grief of losing a sibling, my father, my cousin, grandparents, friends, and people I’ve walked alongside…
