Practice Information

Is trauma from your early life and past relationships creating ripples in your present? Do you find yourself reacting in ways you wish to leave behind? If these statements ring true for you: healing is possible. My goal is to create a welcoming space to explore issues from the past, focusing on relational trauma including domestic violence and abuse, and early childhood trauma. Through healing your past, you can find new ways to embody your future . I also offer support for step-parents. Sessions are 60 mins in length so we have time for deep exploration. Session lengths of 75 and 90 mins are also available.

I offer in-person and virtual psychotherapy services on Gabriola Island, accessible from Ladysmith, Parksville, and Qualicum on Vancouver Island, and virtually throughout BC. My in-person availability in Nanaimo is Friday only.

I provide trauma-informed and inclusive care for individuals coping with the impact of relational trauma, early attachment wounding and adverse childhoods, and those who choose to embrace the unique challenges of step-parenting. My practice is founded on eight pillars: grounding, relational healing, body-befriending, creative exploration, communication, inner-wisdom, anti-oppressive stance, and holistic health. I help my clients understand their nervous systems, explore and process traumatic experiences, improve emotional regulation and self-awareness, and practice self-kindness.

How I can help - my goal is to help people find their unique pathway towards emotional health, flourishing relationships, and a meaningful and purpose-filled life. Our work together can help you:

  • Understand and attune with your nervous system.
  • Get to know your emotions and improve emotional regulation.
  • Explore and process impactful and traumatic experiences.
  • Improve self-awareness, boundaries, and understand relationship patterns.
  • Decrease feelings of shame, guilt, and self-blame.
  • Learn to make value-aligned choices and advocate for yourself.

Therapy is a deeply personal, relational undertaking. Self-exploration can be challenging and I believe the journey is well-worth it. It is important to find a therapist that is a good fit for you. Reach out today to schedule a free consultation.
