Practice Information

My name is Laura Hoge (she/her), and I’m a Registered Social Worker who offers relational, somatic, and justice-informed therapy for adults and families. Whether you’re navigating the long-term impact of trauma, deepening your understanding of identity, or working through grief, I provide a steady and grounded presence to support your healing. My practice is rooted in care that honours your body’s wisdom, your lived experiences, and your readiness for meaningful change.

I work online and in-person at Clayre Sessoms Psychotherapy Inc., where I integrate body-based approaches like Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, parts work (TIST), trauma-informed yoga, and relational therapy. I support clients who have moved through recovery, outgrown survival strategies, or are seeking long-term therapy focused on growth, repair, and embodiment. Together, we’ll explore how your nervous system has adapted over time—and what it might feel like to come home to yourself.

Here’s what you can expect in our time together:

• Warmth and Safety: A compassionate, non-judgemental space where you can slow down, feel supported, and reconnect with your inner experience.

• Collaboration: You are the expert on your life. I offer presence, perspective, and body-based tools to help guide our work together.

• Evidence-Informed Practice: Approaches like Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, parts work, and trauma-informed yoga to support nervous system regulation, insight, and integration.

• Identity Affirmation: A practice that respects and celebrates your full humanity, especially if you are part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community or a family navigating gender-affirming care.

My approach also embraces curiosity, humour, and self-compassion as vital parts of healing. Clients often describe me as steady, thoughtful, and deeply attuned. If you’re looking for a therapist to walk alongside you—not to fix or analyze, but to witness and support your unfolding—I welcome you. Together, we can create space for healing that is grounded, embodied, and meaningful—on your terms and at your pace.
