Practice Information
Food, eating, body image, and chronic illness are deeply emotional experiences, not just physical ones. As both a Registered Dietitian and Registered Clinical Counsellor, I help people untangle the relationship between their health, their emotions, and the way they see themselves. I know how deeply our relationship with food, eating, and our bodies can shape every part of our lives. I've spent more than a decade supporting people living with chronic illness, disordered eating, and the emotional challenges that often accompany them. Along the way, I saw how often people are reduced to their weight or leave healthcare feeling judged. My work is grounded in the understanding that physical health and emotional well-being are deeply connected, and that healing begins when you feel genuinely understood.
My approach is warm, direct, and genuinely collaborative. I'm invested in helping you build a life that feels meaningful and aligned with your values. I bring curiosity, honesty, and a quick wit to our work together, and I'm not afraid to gently name patterns or question beliefs that may be keeping you stuck. My straightforward, no-nonsense style often resonates with people who are new to therapy, skeptical about the process, or who have spent years carrying everything on their own. I particularly enjoy working with men and have found that my practical, straightforward approach often makes it easier to open up, even for those who never pictured themselves in therapy.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, ADHD, life transitions, relationship challenges, perinatal and postpartum adjustment, disordered eating, body image concerns, and emotional eating.
I'm especially passionate about supporting people whose struggles sit at the intersection of physical and emotional health. If you're living with chronic illness, diabetes, or another long-term health condition, I offer a space where the grief, identity shifts, and exhaustion of managing something that never really goes away can finally be talked about.
If you're struggling with disordered eating, emotional eating, or a difficult relationship with your body, I bring both clinical depth and genuine understanding. Together, we'll move beyond the next set of rules and work toward building a relationship with food and movement that's rooted in compassion rather than control.
My work is tailored to your unique concerns and preferences, drawing on evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), and am also a Registered Dietitian.
