Mindful Somatic Depth Psychotherapy.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, low self-worth, and other concerns, and with children who experience emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Common labels such as anxiety or depression are often expressions of something deeper that might exist outside conscious awareness. Rather than stopping at the diagnosis and treating symptoms, together we explore the underlying emotional, relational, and unconscious roots of psychological distress.
My approach is best suited to those who are curious about their inner world, open to exploring how past experiences shape present challenges, and interested in psychotherapy as a reflective process rather than a quick fix. I draw on depth-oriented and experiential methods that support lasting psychological change, including the Hakomi Method, which integrates mindfulness of the body to uncover unconscious patterns influencing how we think, feel, and relate. Sand tray therapy and emotion-focused approaches further support self-understanding and growth. With children, I use child-centred, play-based techniques to support emotional expression, regulation, and development.
The goal of psychotherapy is change that extends beyond the therapy room, including increased self-awareness, greater emotional integration, and the ability to engage more authentically with yourself and in your relationships.
