Practice Information

I'm Jill, counselor and owner of Wabi Sabi Wellness. I provide therapeutic support for children, teens, and adults, offering a compassionate and tailored approach to meet each client’s unique needs. For young clients, I am experienced in play therapy, a powerful tool that helps children process emotions, navigate experiences, and build resilience through play. This method, rooted in neuroscience and interpersonal neuro-biology, makes therapy engaging and accessible for children, allowing them to express what they may not be able to verbalize.

In my work with teens and adults, I focus on a strength-based, client-centered approach, collaborating with clients to create a safe and non-judgmental space where they feel seen, heard, and understood. My practice emphasizes the importance of self-awareness, self-regulation, and emotional healing. By helping clients tune into their internal experiences and develop emotional awareness, they gain valuable insights into their feelings and behaviors. This deeper understanding is key to making positive changes and fostering personal growth.

I tailor each session to the individual, meeting them where they are on their journey. I empower clients to take an active role in their healing process. Through this collaborative approach, I ensure that therapy is not only about addressing challenges but also about building on each person's strengths, helping them move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

At Wabi Sabi Wellness, I am deeply committed to creating a warm, supportive environment where clients feel physically and emotionally safe. Whether you're a parent seeking help for your child, a teen navigating life’s complexities, or an adult dealing with stress, anxiety, or relationship challenges, I’m here to support you in finding your path to well-being.

Grounded in the principles of neuroscience, my practice draws on the understanding that the connection between the mind and body plays a critical role in emotional health. By integrating this knowledge with therapeutic techniques, I guide clients in developing skills like self-regulation, which helps manage stress and foster resilience. My goal is to provide each client with the tools they need to navigate their emotions and experiences more effectively.

I am passionate about helping individuals of all ages feel empowered and confident in their ability to overcome challenges. Whether working with children through play therapy or collaborating with teens and adults using a more direct, tailored approach, I strive to create a space where every client feels understood and supported. Together, we work toward building a foundation of resilience, emotional health, and personal growth.

If you're ready to take the next step toward healing or want to learn more about my approach, I encourage you to reach out. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey to emotional well-being.

My practice is centred on supporting individuals with neurodivergence, including autism and ADHD, as well as those dealing with anxiety, learning disabilities, depression, and trauma. I also address family issues, friendships, relationships, parenting, and school-related stress. In the initial session, we dive deep into the issue at hand and collaborate to create a plan for moving forward and working toward well-being.

As a former teacher and resource teacher, I have a deep understanding of the unique needs of neurodivergent children and their parents. I have extensive experience working with families facing emotional regulation issues, particularly those navigating the challenges of autism, ADHD, and school-related concerns. My background allows me to connect with clients in a meaningful way, offering insights and strategies grounded in real-world experience to support growth and healing. I provide strategies and guidance to help families navigate the complexities of neurodivergence, fostering resilience in both children and their caregivers.

I provide in-person, online, and walk-and-talk therapy options. You can book a free 15-minute consultation through my online booking site or call to schedule the appointment. This consultation will help us determine if we’re a good fit and give you a better understanding of the counselling process.
