Practice Information

If you are fighting a quiet, exhausting battle inside your own head, please know you don’t have to carry this heavy burden alone.

Intrusive thoughts can make your mind feel like an unsafe place, trapping you in a lonely cycle of secret shame and anxiety that erodes your self-esteem over time. When you are terrified of what your brain is telling you, it’s easy to pretend everything is fine on the outside while feeling completely isolated on the inside.

My name is Jessica. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Professional Art Therapist. I work with youth and adults (ages 13 and up) who are ready to break free from OCD, intrusive thoughts, anxiety, low self-esteem and trauma. Together, we will combine practical, actionable coping tools with deep, experiential exploration to target the root cause of what keeps you stuck, heal the shame, and build a meaningful path forward.

Areas of Focus & Specializations

I bring a down-to-earth, collaborative, and entirely non-judgmental presence to our sessions, giving you a space where you can safely slow down and unpack challenges like:

  • OCD & Intrusive Thoughts: Breaking the agonizing loop of distressing thoughts and repetitive mental or behavioral compulsions.
  • Anxiety & Perfectionism: Dismantling the exhausting "inner critic," people-pleasing habits, and the constant pressure to be flawless.
  • Trauma & Distressing Memories: Safely processing painful experiences so they stop triggering you in the present.
  • Grief & Life Transitions: Navigating the disorienting seasons of loss, change, and uncertainty.

My Therapeutic Approach

I tailor your care by blending evidence-based tools with creative, deep-dive modalities. We don't just talk about the patterns—we actively work to shift how they feel in your mind and body.

  • Art Therapy: Sometimes words fall short. We can use creative expression to externalize and look at your anxiety from a completely new perspective. No artistic background or skill is ever required.
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing): A structured, evidence-based approach to help your brain safely process and take the painful emotional charge out of stuck, distressing memories.
  • IFS-Informed "Parts Work" (Internal Family Systems): A gentle way to safely explore your internal world, understand the protective parts of your mind, and heal the spaces holding secret shame.
  • ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy): Practical, mindfulness-based strategies to help you change your relationship with intrusive thoughts, drop the internal tug-of-war, and reconnect with your true values.

Take the First Step

It takes real courage to reach out when you've been hiding the parts of yourself carrying shame. You don't have to figure out the way forward alone.

If you are curious about working together, I invite you to reach out for a complimentary initial 15 minute consultation. We can chat briefly, explore your goals, and ensure my approach feels like the right fit for your healing journey. Reach out whenever you are ready.
