Practice Information
When life is difficult, the resulting symptoms usually include depression, anxiety, fear, anger and/or withdrawal. Rather than avoiding these states, I have helped hundreds of clients turn them into resources, significantly improving their lives, usually after only a few sessions. I have more than 30 years professional experience working with couples, individuals, families and groups, and have supervised more than two dozen new therapists. I specialize in working with couples, helping them to move beyond arguing, tension, anger, resentment and distancing into contented, loving, couples. My clients turn their problems into workable solutions. Free tips are available on my website.
All relationships go through difficulties. This is normal. Sometimes people need assistance to help them through their transitions. The good part: As a result of making the changes they end up enjoying better relationships and lives.
Relationship counselling is a specialty most therapists lack. If you wish a healthy, productive and loving relationship, then choose wisely. The results will make your effort and money well worth it.
Specialized Training
- Marriage (couples) therapy: My second Master's degree is in the specialised field of Marriage and Family Therapy. I love working with couples.
- Anger management: a misleading term since anger needs to be transformed rather than to be suppressed or used abusively towards others and ourselves.
- Healing shame; shame underlies most relationship issues, including with ourselves, and leads to anxiety, depression, anger, substance abuse and more.
- Moving out-of-control children into happier children and parents.
