Georgia Schindler

 My name is Georgia, and I am a Therapist, Mother, Wife and a resident in beautiful British Columbia. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Adler University and a Bachelor of Arts in Health Science from Simon Fraser University. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in good standing with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). 

I am passionate about the work I do and have extensive experience working with those struggling with PTSD, CPTSD, Addiction, Depression, Anxiety, Pregnancy loss and Stress. I have worked with those struggling with addiction and complex mental health issues in a harm-reduction setting and treatment setting. I believe that change is possible when we have connection and insight into ourselves. 

I have both personal and professional experience in the areas of parenting, infertility, pregnancy loss, pre-natal and post-natal depression. I am aware of how navigating these challenges can be extremely lonely and isolating and am here to provide support, warmth and resources. 

Having faced challenges in my own life, I know that life and people are imperfect. I believe imperfection is beautiful and that learning to embrace our imperfections and work with them is key to living a full life. 

My approach with clients is like a warm hug with a firm handshake. I provide warmth, empathy, a listening ear while encouraging clients to get curious about their patterns and challenging them to make changes. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and that we grow when surrounded by the right environment. I aim to be that environment for my clients and champion their growth.
