Practice Information
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors, and the founder and clinical director of Bliss Therapeutic Services.
I am dedicated to providing professional, confidential and quality counselling and therapeutic services to individuals and couples for concerns relating to personal growth, wellness, relationships, mental health, and psychological distress.
I am oft heard saying that “there is no right way to do counselling in that it looks like whatever it needs to for whomever takes part in it at that moment.” I feel honoured that individuals invite me on their journey towards a place of greater well-being – whatever that may be for them. I have a warm, engaging, and professional demeanour that helps clients feel at ease, supported, and able to embrace the delicate balance between risk, hope, and trust.
I utilize an integrated approach to counselling, including Systemic, Solution-Focused, Cognitive-Behavioural, Resltionship, Trauma, and Dialectical Behavioural theories. Basically, the “whatever it takes” philosophy in meeting clients where they are at, and helping them move towards their goals in a meaningful way. My approach is strengths-based, collaborative, trauma-informed, and goal-oriented - essentially acting as a resource for positive change in my client’s lives.
I also provide clinical supervision to emerging and practicing therapists around clinical case consultation, interventions, ethics, and practice and professional development.
Although I have a diverse degree of experience, I have extensive familiarity and additional training in depression, anxiety, relational distress, stress, self-esteem, and mood and personality disorders. Couples, of all types. ages, stages and phases, compromise a large focus of my practice as I have advanced training and nearly 20 years of experience in working along side them.
