Practice Information

My name is Erin and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) offering in-person counselling for individuals and couples/relationships in Kitsilano. Together we can identify the tools, strategies, and solutions you need to live a more joyful, authentic, and connected life.

Individual Counselling

Therapy offers you a kind and caring space to explore what is most important to you. In session, we will give space to the pain points you may be experiencing, explore patterns that may no longer be serving you, and find creative solutions to help you live a fulfilling life.

Many of the individuals I work with come to therapy with concerns around:

  • Anxiety
  • Boundaries & Communication
  • Burnout & Stress
  • Life Transitions
  • Perfectionism
  • Relationships & Attachment
  • Self-Esteem & Self-Concept

My therapeutic approach is focused on being relationship-centred, trauma-informed, evidence-based, anti-oppressive, and most importantly, meaningful to you and your story.

Couples & Relationship Counselling

Relationship counselling creates a space where everyone in the room feels seen and heard. Together, we will identify patterns that have developed within your relationship informed by each of your unique histories, and explore, develop, and strengthen safety, connection, intimacy, and communication within your relationship.

Initial Consults

Finding the right counsellor for you is often the greatest predictor of success in therapy. To give you some space to see if I am the right person for you, I offer a complimentary 15 minute initial consult by phone.

My Background

Over the past decade, I have been exploring the transformative power of emotion, both as it relates to personal and community change. This led me to pursue a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science, focused on Affect Theory and Indigenous Politics, alongside roles in policy and advocacy work. Ultimately, the same passion for the ability of emotion to transform our inner and outer worlds, led me to pursue my M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology.

Counselling is deeply personal work, and I take seriously the responsibility and gift of being allowed in to understand your experience, to come alongside you in your journey of exploration, and to witness your transformation.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that:

  • Each person’s story is important and should be held with care and compassion.

  • Human beings are inherently resilient and transformative change is possible.

  • Roadblocks can arise when patterns of behaviour, beliefs, and emotions that once served us, no longer do.

  • Resolutions can be found by re-examining our roadblocks through the lens of curiosity and compassion.

Together we can identify the tools, strategies, and solutions you need to live a more joyful, authentic, and connected life.
