Practice Information

As the founder of Rising Minds Counselling & Psychotherapy, I’ve created a warm, grounding space shaped by my clinical training, my lived experiences, and my deep understanding of the mind–body connection. My journey as a Registered Clinical Counsellor began long before I stepped into the role of therapist. With a background as a sports chiropractor and kinesiologist, I spent years supporting people through physical pain, stress, and injury and witnessed firsthand the emotional weight these challenges often carry. Those experiences taught me something essential: the body holds what the mind tries to silence, and meaningful healing requires an integrated mind-body approach.

My own personal path has also included seasons of adversity, loss, and rebuilding. These moments profoundly shaped the way I show up with clients today. They taught me to sit with people with an authentic, empathetic, attuned, and steady presence, while holding a deep belief in the human spirit's capacity to endure, adapt, and rise. By pursuing a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, I’ve been able to integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches with a holistic respect for the connection between emotional, physical, and relational health.

When you work with me, you’re met with compassion, respect, and genuine human connection, never judgment, never pressure. Together, we will compassionately explore your story, your strengths, and the patterns that shape your inner world, helping you reconnect with clarity, confidence, and a steadier sense of self. I provide virtual support for adults, youth, seniors, couples, and families navigating anxiety, divorce, depression, trauma, grief & life transitions, as well as professionals experiencing burnout, stress & overwhelm.

I also passionately support cancer patients, caregivers, survivors & families. I am deeply committed to creating spaces of healing, connection, hope & legacy for those impacted by cancer. I integrate a variety of evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches, including acceptance and commitment therapy, person-centred care, cognitive behavioural theory, attachment theory, somatic approaches, existentialism, nervous system regulation, Gottman methods, & Dr. Gabor Maté's Compassionate Inquiry approaches.

If life feels heavy, or you’re quietly struggling, you’re not alone. I offer a warm, compassionate, & non-judgmental space to help you feel heard & supported. Some people also come simply to grow, gain clarity, or get more out of life. Reach out when you’re ready. I'll be here, ready to walk beside you. I offer virtual support to clients in BC and Ontario. I offer a sliding scale to those facing financial hardship.

I also understand that some days feel unbearably heavy, days when it seems as if you’re standing alone in the dark. If that’s where you find yourself,  you do not have to walk alone. Please reach out. I am here to walk alongside you on your path.
