About my approach

Rather than viewing symptoms and behaviours as problems to fix or eliminate, I see them as entryways into unmet needs, untold stories, and inner parts seeking to be heard - whether you are a child, youth, or adult. If you are navigating grief, depression, anxiety, ADHD, burnout, chronic pain, or complex relationships with food and body, I offer trauma-informed counselling and support that helps reduce shame while we gently explore the origins and wisdom of these experiences. Through a curious and compassionate process, we can work toward understanding the deeper “why” behind these challenges and move you toward a more authentic and fulfilling way of living.

My approach is relational, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed care. As an RCC (Registered Clinical Counsellor), I incorporate somatic practices, Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative therapy, and social justice-oriented perspectives. When working with children specifically, I also use synergetic play therapy to support emotional expression and healing. As an Expressive Arts Therapist, I also weave in creative processes such as art-making, movement, writing, and sound to support inner exploration and self-expression beyond words alone - especially for those who find talking alone isn’t enough.

Most importantly, I can accompany people through vulnerable and painful experiences with presence, steadiness, and compassion. I strive to create a therapeutic space where parts of you that may have been overlooked, misunderstood, hidden, or judged are met with openness and respect. These aspects of ourselves often carry deep strength, aliveness, and wisdom about our deepest needs and values. If this resonates, you are welcome to reach out for a free consultation to explore if working together feels like a good fit.
