Dr. Dassinger will be providing secure online video counseling during COVD-19. Dr. Carla Dassinger graduated with her doctorate in clinical psychology from Midwestern University in the greater Chicago area. She has provided services for adolescents and adults for over ten years. She has provided services in the area of forensic and clinical psychology in both the United States and in Canada (provincially and federally). She has worked as a practitioner and as a chief psychologist overseeing a mental health team. She is a registered psychologist (#2271) with the College of Psychologists of British Colombia. She is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association, British Columbian Psychological Association and Association of the Treatment of Sexual Abusers. She practiced for the Federal Government (Correctional Service of Canada) for a number of years. Currently she practices privately, providing assessment and treatment services for both the provincial government and private organizations. She provides mental health services to adult clients including first responders through private practice. Dr. Dassinger aims to provide a compassionate approach to listen, support and understand the challenges her clients are experiencing. She believes in assisting her clients to build the resources they need but also gain a greater understanding of how their challenges developed. Together with improved resources and a greater understanding her aim is to support her clients towards achieving a better quality of life. Dr. Carla Dassinger, R. Psych. provides counseling services in person sessions in Abbotsford, as well as online counseling / video counseling / virtual counseling through a secure online platform.
