Practice Information
Grief is a natural response to loss, which may include emotions such as sadness, anger, guilt, and longing. While grief therapy is a deeply personal process that will be unique to each person, some topics to expect in therapy include exploring the pain of grief, softening the mind's difficult thoughts, and gently work toward accepting a new reality. The goal isn't to "move on" from the loss, but to carry the loss in a way that allows you to find meaning, healing, and connection in life again. Besides grief, I am also focused on post-MVA counselling, helping clients cope with anxiety, fear, and recovery to regain safety and control.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and have a master's degree in counselling psychology (MCP). With a professional interest and deep passion for grief and loss, I further completed a doctoral degree (PsyD in grief counselling). I provide therapy sessions in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
I currently work at EMC Therapy in Richmond, BC, where we accept both private and insurance covered services. Direct billing also available to most insurance plans, including ICBC claims. 悲傷,又稱為哀傷,是對失去的一種自然反應,可能包含一連串的情緒,例如悲痛、憤怒、內疚、思念等。哀傷治療是一個非常個人化的過程,每個人的經歷皆獨一無二。但在治療中,常會探討的主題包括:探索哀傷的痛楚、緩和內心困難的思緒和回憶,並逐步接受新的現實。治療的目標並非「忘記」失去,而是學會帶著這些經歷,重新在生命中尋找意義、治癒與連結。
除了哀傷治療,我也特別關注交通事故後的心理支援。經歷車禍後,常見的反應包括焦慮、驚嚇、失眠、反覆回想事故畫面,甚至對駕駛或乘坐交通工具感到害怕。身體上的受傷與復健過程,也可能帶來沮喪、無力感,或對生活失去信心。這些都是人之常情。透過一個安全、穩定的空間,讓情緒有機會被看見與理解,陪伴身心一同走過復原的歷程,慢慢找回安全感與生活的掌控感。
我在殯儀服務及社區外展方面擁有超過十五年的工作經驗,期間致力支援面對困難的人士。目前,我是卑詩省註冊的心理輔導師,並持有心理輔導碩士學位(MCP)。為了在哀傷輔導領域中進一步深造,我亦完成了哀傷輔導的心理學博士學位(PsyD in Grief Counselling)。我目前於列治文(Richmond)的 EMC Therapy 執業。我們提供的心理治療服務可自費,也接受大多數延伸醫療保險(Extended Health Benefits)。此外,我們亦可直接向多數保險公司收費,包括與 ICBC 相關的意外後心理治療。歡迎透過電郵或電話與我們聯絡,查詢服務或預約會面。希望我能夠陪伴你,一起走過人生中充滿變化的時刻。
