Practice Information
Aarushi is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with over eight years of experience supporting individuals facing mental health, behavioural, and emotional challenges in community mental health and complex care settings.
She works primarily with adults and caregivers experiencing:
• Trauma and PTSD
• Anxiety and depression
• Grief and loss
• Emotional dysregulation
• Stress and burnout
• Relationship challenges
• Life transitions
• Self-esteem concerns
Aarushi also has extensive experience supporting individuals with:
• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
• Intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Complex mental health needs
Aarushi provides therapy through a trauma-informed, client-centred, and culturally responsive lens. She understands that healing is rarely linear and that many people develop survival responses such as fight, flight, freeze, or emotional shutdown. Rather than viewing these responses as flaws, she helps clients understand them with compassion, creating opportunities for healing and meaningful change.
Therapy is a collaborative process where clients are supported at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Aarushi helps individuals:
• Process difficult emotions
• Develop greater self-awareness
• Build healthier boundaries
• Strengthen emotional resilience
• Learn practical coping strategies
• Respond to life's challenges with greater confidence and self-compassion
Her integrative approach is tailored to each person's unique needs and may include:
• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Internal Family Systems (IFS)
• Mindfulness-based practices
• Strengths-based therapy
• Person-centred counselling
Aarushi believes meaningful healing begins when people feel genuinely seen, supported, and accepted. Her goal is to help clients reconnect with their inner strengths, build emotional resilience, and create a life that feels more grounded, authentic, and aligned with their values.
Client Focus
• Adults
• Caregivers
Outside of the therapy room, Aarushi enjoys spending time in nature, especially walking along local beaches and trails, exploring new coffee shops, and connecting with family and friends. She values moments of stillness, reflection, and meaningful connection as an important part of overall well-being.
