Practice Information
I founded Out of the Woods Counselling with a deep belief that healing is possible, even when life feels overwhelming or stuck. I work with individuals and couples who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, relationship difficulties, self-harm, and addictive behaviors.
I have been working in the mental health field for over ten years, in both health-care and private practice settings. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria and a Master of Social Work with a clinical specialization from the University of British Columbia. Alongside my university education, I have pursued extensive post-graduate training in approaches including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Somatic Experiencing (ITATM model), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
At the heart of my work is a curiosity about how patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are shaped over time—often across generations. Together, we gently explore these patterns, creating space for understanding, healing, and meaningful change. While talking can be an important part of therapy, I also believe in working creatively and collaboratively, tailoring evidence-based approaches to meet each person where they are.
My hope is to offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered as we walk this path together.
I offer counseling services in English and Romanian.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I am a mother who values connection, balance, and presence. I find grounding and renewal through movement, exercise, and yoga, and I am deeply nourished by time spent in nature. Building meaningful community is important to me, and I believe healing is often supported through relationships, shared experiences, and a sense of belonging.
