Practice Information
Do you ever feel like your mind is telling you one story while your body is signalling another? Maybe your reactions feel out of your control, you're unsure where certain feelings are coming from, or you're struggling to understand and communicate your needs. The heart of my work honours the mind-body connection and focuses on bridging the gap between your thoughts, feelings, and bodies. An approach deeply aligned to my own personal journey of healing and reconnection. My support is emotionally-attuned and rooted in the belief that all parts of you deserve care. Tuning into your needs day-to-day, session-to-session, and shaping this journey together.
I’m Amanda, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (though I much prefer relational counsellor) living, connecting, and supporting folks on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. It is truly my privilege to be invited into the human experience in its most intimate and vulnerable moments. I offer counselling support through a trauma-informed, holistic, and attachment-focused perspective, drawing on somatic practices, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and parts work. Much of my sessions are spent balancing the nervous system, gathering tools for self-expression, and creating space for self-compassion. This may look like pausing to notice what’s happening in your body, gently untangling the threads of your inner world, and celebrating small but powerful moments of growth. Working with all of your “little parts,” with the intention of rebuilding your relationship to self. Together, we’ll develop a stable and sustainable foundation of self-trust as we make sense of the experiences and relationships that shape your world . Whether you feel lost, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin, I invite you to come just as you are. You don’t have to do this alone.
Offering accessible therapy is important to me. We can meet in-office from my space in Sechelt, or virtually from the comfort of your home. (Yes, you can definitely partake in therapy from bed.) Knowing that nature is a valuable resource and can often provide a low-barrier and easeful way to connect, I also offer sessions on the land, while walking in the forest or on the beach.
I would love to connect and chat more about my offerings or to explore what support might look like for you! I invite you to look through my website or simply send me an email and we can start there.
I can’t wait to meet you!
