Practice Information

To all appearances you’ve got a great life. You’re smart, driven, & successful. But privately, you sometimes struggle under the weight of negative thoughts and beliefs about who you are, what you are worth, and what you are allowed to ask for from life. These stubborn thoughts and beliefs affect every aspect of your life: your health, your school, your career, your relationships, and your self-esteem. You work hard to keep them at bay, but you're exhausted from the effort, and you've had enough of the way they keep you stuck in your life. You're ready to break free of them and are looking for a trusted professional who can help you create lasting change.

I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I work with adolescents and adults online. But my specialty and my passion is taking therapy out of the office and onto the trails. This fresh-air, walk & talk approach has grown increasingly popular with my clients not simply because of the way it works around their COVID-19 safety concerns. Moving in the outdoors engages the whole body in a way that helps us reduce anxiety, clear the mind, and gain whole new perspectives on ourselves and the road ahead.

All of us (counsellors included) fall prey at times to negative thoughts & beliefs that prevent us from moving forward to live our best lives. I walk alongside you, literally and figuratively, and help you challenge those thoughts so you can take back control of your story and your life. Contact me for your free, no-obligation 15-minute phone consultation today.

What Ground Do You Stand On?

There is a story in Greek mythology about a mighty wrestler named Antaeus. The half-giant son of Poseidon and the earth goddess Gaia, Antaeus would challenge anyone who passed by to a wrestling match. He would defeat and kill every opponent, and would add their skulls to the temple he had built in honour of his father. The demigod Hercules happened by one day on his way to completing another of his twelve Labours. He accepted Antaeus’ challenge. To his very great surprise, though, he found himself unable to either throw or pin his opponent. With his strength waning and defeat near, Hercules…
