Practice Information

If you feel as though you are putting on a daily performance for yourself and others, acting at having it together, or just faking it to make it, therapy is a place that invites you to take the mask off. My job is to co-create a space with you where you can be yourself in the fullest sense – even if you don’t quite know who that is yet. So, come as you are. Anxious. Excited. Messy. Sad. Confused. Tired. Changing. There is nothing you can’t be and can’t feel in our sessions together. Whatever you are looking for, together we can create a therapeutic plan that works for you.

My name is Virginia and I am a Registered Social Worker and Therapist. My practice is dedicated to helping people re-connect with themselves and others in ways that feel safe. If you become my client, we will work together to empower you to process and manage deep emotions, understand patterns, foster positive relationships, and cultivate a life with more clarity, joy, and self-trust.

I use an integrative approach with clients, using a variety of evidence-based practices to engage in therapy that meets their individual needs, strengths, and goals. This may include the use of EMDR, psychotherapy, somatic approaches, parts work, and attachment therapy.

Change is possible. It may not be easy, but none of us are doomed to be stuck in existing places and patterns. If how you act, react, and interact with the world no longer serves you, it is time to find new ways of coping and relating to yourself and others. Engaging in this work can build your capacity to believe in your inherent worth and support your vision and goals for your life. My job is to help you throughout this process.

I commonly work with clients on:

  • Understanding how certain thought and behaviour patterns came to be and working to shift these patterns to enable lasting changes.

  • Psychoeducation and coping resources for anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and other mood concerns.

  • Managing challenges and interpersonal dynamics in families, romantic partnerships, and platonic relationships.

  • Processing trauma and “stuck” emotions.

  • Exploring personal identity and existential questions.

  • Increasing tolerance for discomfort, reducing emotional reactivity, and gaining skills that allow for value-led decision-making without ignoring feelings.

I offer free 15 minute consultations so we can see if we are a good match. Please email me to schedule your consultation.
