My name is Shima. I hold both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Psychology, and my professional journey of over a decade has been dedicated to working with young people, adults, and families as a Registered Clinical Counselor with BCACC. I am known for being a warm and compassionate person, creating a safe space for clients to open. My expertise lies in areas such as trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, parenting, and supporting clients through various life transitions, and my approaches to help my clients are CBT,ACT,and Positive Psychology Technics.  My journey extends beyond academic learning; life itself has been a profound teacher. I’ve navigated personal hurdles such as loss, the complexities of migration, and the many unpredictable twists and turns life presents. These experiences have not only enriched my understanding but have also deepened my empathy and resilience. Now, I’m here to offer you a supportive and understanding hand as you traverse your own path. In addition, to providing therapy in English, Iam also fluent in Farsi.
