Practice Information
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach. I work extensively with individuals and couples, drawing from a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Schema Therapy, Attachment Work, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
My cultural background offers me a unique perspective on the experiences of immigrants and second-generation individuals, particularly when it comes to navigating identity and Intergenerational dynamics.
I also specialize in supporting couples who are experiencing emotional disconnection, conflict, intimacy struggles, or cross-cultural issues. My goal is to help partners break out of reactive patterns, deepen emotional connection, and build secure, resilient relationships. I also facilitate workshops that foster emotional, mental, and relational well-being.
My specialty is working with individuals, based on trauma and violence, in exploring feelings of anger, shame, and guilt and their impact on their lives. In a safe, non-judgmental space, I am an approved counsellor providing psychological treatments to individuals injured in car accidents, ICBC claims, and work-related (WCB) claims, in English and Farsi.
