Suzanne Noel

My practice is based out of Kelowna, BC. I provide in-person sessions at the Kelowna EMDR Clinic in Lower Mission, Kelowna, and I also provide online appointments to anyone living in BC. I have many years of experience helping people through life’s challenges, formerly as a Nurse Practitioner, and now as a Registered Clinical Counsellor.

My preferred therapeutic methods are:

• Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
• Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Similar to EMDR, ART has been scientifically shown to help quickly help you process trauma and decrease strong negative associations therefore allowing you to move on with your life. EFT is a powerful method of therapy well suited to couples therapy, allowing couples to connect on a deeper level and learn to fully understand each other. CBT is well-researched and effective for multiple challenges people face by techniques such as re-framing situations to better understand them, and challenging any unhelpful automatic thoughts you may have. ACT is very a practical method that helps you learn simple skills to apply to any troublesome or triggering situation you encounter in your day to day life giving you power over your situation. 

My approach is rooted in empathy and understanding, combined with the expert knowledge needed to help you navigate your current challenges. I believe in providing clients with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to live their life in the best possible way. I look forward to meeting you and learning more about how I can help!
