Practice Information
I have a Master of Counselling Psychology degree and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor through the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and trauma/PTSD. My prime focus in counselling is to help empower you to discover your journey towards healing and resilience. I believe counselling is a form of healing which begins by prioritizing your mental health. I will help you work towards this journey through collaboration and interventions in this healing process. I will provide a holistic approach to allow you to connect to your mind, body, and soul.
I am a culturally competent counsellor who conducts counselling in Punjabi. I have experience working with different cultures, including the South Asian community. I have experience working with Canadian-born children and their struggles with meeting the demands of both Canadian and Punjabi cultures.
I work with diverse backgrounds including BIPOC individuals, first responders, Indigenous peoples, and LGBTQIA2S+ clients. I directly bill to Crime Victims Assistance Program (CVAP) (with top-off), and Metis Nation of BC (MNBC). Top-off of CVAP can be waived for low-income clients.
My work centralizes on using different modalities which best suit your needs. I provide in-person, phone, and online counselling in a safe and non-judgmental space to allow you to be yourself.
I aim to empower you by providing a safe space to voice your story. I am excited to learn about your worldviews and unique qualities. I encourage you to work through your challenges with me and work towards your journey of healing and resilience.
