Practice Information
Whether it is struggles with trauma, anxiety, pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, relationships, or mood, I support individuals with identifying what they want to be different in their life and co-creating a plan for our work together. As a counsellor, it is a privilege to support clients in their journeys to find more joy, feel less overwhelmed by difficult emotions, improve relationships, and feel more compassion for themselves. With a strong belief in the value of human connection, I dedicate great care and attention in developing relationships with my clients based on respect and trust.
Recognizing the courage it can take for people to come to counselling, I work from a person-centered approach to help my clients feel heard, and ultimately, empowered to work toward their goals. I feel honoured to work alongside clients through their personal journeys of self-discovery and growth, working collaboratively with clients to explore their values and how to foster these into a meaningful life.
On a more personal level…I am a parent. I love cooking, and generally all things food related. Things that bring me joy: a good book (with a good cup of tea), laughter shared with friends and family, or a walk through the woods. I am someone that has experienced my own mental health struggles, and I’m also someone that has found going to counselling hard!
And I understand that trying to find a counsellor can be a daunting process. To support with this, I offer free 15 minute phone consults for potential clients to ask questions and to determine if I could be a good fit as a counsellor.
If you’d like support to explore a path forward, please feel free to reach out. I look forward to speaking with you!
