Reaching out for support is a courageous step.

There are times when we need someone to walk alongside us, offering perspective, encouragement, and support.

I am a mama of four, cold plunger, certified educator, CHD survivor and counsellor based in North Vancouver.

I hold a deep belief that our stories reside within our minds, hearts, and bodies. Guided by this understanding, I utilize a trauma-informed, integrative approach that incorporates attachment-based somatic therapy. This method allows me to connect with clients of all ages facing a variety of challenges, including parenting issues, medical trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, C-PTSD, relationship difficulties, grief, and significant life transitions.

I love to work with families, individuals, and children from diverse backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, cultures, and identities in North Vancouver and virtually across BC.  I work to support and honour them in cultivating self-compassion, inner connection and a deeper relationship with themselves. My work is informed by understanding the importance of somatics, movement, art, play and relationships in (re) connecting with our inner wisdom, resilience and the strength to face and transform the painful memories and patterns we carry.

I am committed to feminist, antiracist principles and am an ally to the 2SLGBTQ community. If you've been feeling overwhelmed, sad, alone, misunderstood or struggle to name and understand what is going on for you, I can support you in getting to the roots or heart of old or uncomfortable patterns. In our sessions, I can support you in experiencing, embodying, and learning new patterns and strategies that empower you to build capacity to cope and balance life stresses like:

  • complex grief or momentous life changes (loss of loved ones, relationship changes)
  • medical trauma (diagnosis, coping with chronic illness, grief)
  • anxiety and dysregulated nervous systems
  • panic attacks and stress related issues
  • family relationships and patterns
  • gender transition, dysphoria identity
  • coping with learning challenges, school systems
  • relationship complexities

My approach is trauma-sensitive, inclusive, and deeply authentic, reflecting my commitment to working humbly alongside each unique individual. In my practice, I utilize mindful and somatic techniques, allowing clients to ground themselves in the meaningful work of therapy and integrate their nervous system into the healing process. I work with clients of all ages, addressing a variety of challenges including parenting issues, medical trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship difficulties. It is a true privilege to hold space for your experiences and to be attuned to your journey.

The Unique School Experience of Children and Youth with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD)

The Unique School Experience of Children and Youth with CHD As a child with congenital heart disease, I had big feelings about how different I was from others at school—not just because of my surgical scars and very tiny body, but something inside me. I remember so clearly an experience when I was 5 and back to school from open heart surgery, where all the other children in the classroom seemed to know what they were doing on a math sheet, except me. It didn’t make sense to me. The numbers wobbled all over the page and I could feel myself going into my imaginary world. In my imaginary world, I…
