Practice Information

You’re probably here because something is coming up that is highlighting the need for change. That might be a big event that forces change, like a loss, a significant conflict, or a life transition. It could also be that everyday things are setting off big emotions, like the forgotten toothpaste cap that turns into a huge fight with your partner, and something needs to change because it’s stressful to live this way. Or maybe you’ve got a constant sense of depression or anxiety, and you know that you don’t want to feel this way long-term.

We never want to find ourselves in these situations, yet they are part of life and they can be significant opportunities for growth. Our challenges in the present often show us the ways we learned how to adapt and stay safe in the world in the past. As we bring some kind attention and curiosity to those behaviours, beliefs and relational patterns, we can bring in some fresh air, spaciousness and choice as well. We can change the way we feel, respond and act by being curious about ourselves and others, as well as learning new skills to bring into our daily lives.

I work with people to help them heal from their past and live more fully today. Many of the people I work with have experienced difficult childhoods in one way or another, from c-PTSD and abuse to childhoods that seemed great on the outside but leave them feeling alone and unsupported in the world regardless. I also work with many people who have ADHD or other neurodiversities. High sensitivity, feeling like a misfit, and challenges with focus and attention often come with anxiety, depression and difficulty navigating emotions and sensations. All of this is welcome in our work together.

My approach is collaborative, client centered and experiential. This means that I focus on working together with my clients and centering their own lived experiences. I also support them to have new experiences that are healing and empowering so that they can move forwards in life with a more self-accepting approach.

I offer a 30 min free consultation so that we can have a chance to meet, ask questions and get a sense of whether we might be a good fit for working together. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, and I look forward to meeting you.

Is Video Therapy Right for Me?

With pandemic restrictions behind us, many people are eager to get back to doing things in person again, including therapy. Taking the time out of your day to travel to your therapist's office, sitting on their couch, and being present with each other in person can be important parts of therapy for many folks. However, doing therapy by video is often just as effective, and can even have some advantages compared to in-person therapy. Here are some signs that video therapy might be a good fit for you. You feel comfortable and safe at home A big part of what makes therapy work is feeling safe…
