Are you journeying through early parenthood? Whether you are expecting a child, or are already in the throws of parenthood, this journey can be exhausting. For all parents, anxious thoughts and depressive moods can be overwhelming. You may notice more intrusive thoughts – thoughts that just seem to pop out of nowhere, and are quite scary. As if that’s not enough, you’re experiencing mom/dad-guilt. No matter what you do, you worry that it isn’t enough. You can’t seem to let go of the thought that you aren’t good enough as a partner or a parent. Parenthood isn’t what you imagined it would be, and you feel disillusioned. Everyone tells you that these early parenthood years go by too quickly, but you feel like you’re just trying to survive. You know you need help, but you’re not sure where to start.
Hi, I’m Kala. I work with parents-to-be, and parents of young kids. Using a compassionate approach, I create space for you to tell your story. During our sessions, we will identify the factors that are making life stressful, and create strategies for change. You may be surprised how small changes can yield big results. We will discuss thoughts, emotions, and behaviour urges. My office is a judgment-free zone. Let me give you a picture of some of the things that people talk to me about:
