Practice Information
People come to therapy for a variety of reasons, but ultimately there is something you are experiencing in your life that is causing you pain and suffering that you want to address. We all experience pain that stems from the parts of ourselves or the things we have gone through that have created immense shame. It is important to me to be able to provide the space where you can feel safe enough to explore and share these parts of yourself and your experience combined with learning practical and effective psychological tools to help you heal and move forward.
Over my years as a therapist, I have seen how many of my clients are living in a deep state of shame, core fears that are not being addressed and core needs that are not being met. This is what I am passionate about in helping people in my practice with now.
My therapeutic philosophy combines Humanistic (Person Centered and Existential) with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy. I want to hold space for you top be abl;e to share and explore what is bringing you here with
Tools I tend to utilize in my practice with clients are to support a more peaceful relationship with the different parts of themselves, self compassion, creating distance from unhelpful narratives and learning to surf urges that the person may want to address.
How what you are bringing to therapy is showing up for you is important (eg. Addictive behaviors, obsessions etc), but ultimately we want to get to what core fears are keeping this going and what core yearnings are you wanting to get met, but do not know how to, or unsure of what they even are.
