Practice Information

I believe in the power of collaboration, and my passion lies in partnering with you to navigate life's challenges and foster personal growth. Working together, I can help you set goals, make decisions, and explore solutions. Practicing from an intersectional perspective, I recognize that people are multifaceted and unique. I approach my work with curiosity and respect for how your experiences and identities have shaped your values, beliefs, and goals. This understanding forms the basis of our journey together. I work with adults, and see both individuals and couples.

I provide counselling services to individuals navigating a variety of challenges, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, grief and loss, parenting, boundary setting, navigating life transitions, healthy relationship building, and self-empowerment work. Each session will focus on what you feel is most important for you, with a focus on helping you move forward in your life. Together, we can work on changing unhelpful thought patterns, building skills for emotional regulation, and learning coping strategies that fit you. I help couples learn to communicate more effectively, resolve conflict more easily, and break old habits that aren't benefiting the relationship.

I offer ADHD-informed support to neurodivergent clients. Exploration of the impact of ADHD on day to day functioning and experiences, parenting, relationships and more allows me to support you to develop skills and strategies to manage the impact ADHD has on your life. My status as an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider highlights my skills, training and experience in this area of practice.

Drawing from multiple counselling modalities, including emotion-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, somatic therapy, the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), I will tailor your sessions to meet your unique needs.

With a diverse professional background, I bring a unique blend of experiences to my counselling practice. I served as a paramedic with BC Ambulance, where I developed strong skills in crisis management and effective communication. Additionally, I have substantial experience in the mental health and addiction field, where I gained valuable insights into the complexities of these issues. Currently, I am passionately dedicated to working with women and children escaping family violence, and providing them with a safe haven for healing.

My academic journey has been marked by a commitment to understanding human behaviour and social systems. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria, which laid a solid foundation for my pursuit and completion of a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. My educational journey reflects my passion for offering the best possible care to clients, blending academic knowledge with real-world experience. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
