Jennifer Hakola is a Registered Art Therapist and the founder of Clear Water Art Therapy Services. With a focus on the healing power of art, Jennifer brings 20 years of experience in the field of art therapy and a unique perspective to the supervision process. Her work is grounded in the belief that art can inspire an ecological identity, connecting individuals with their sense of place within the broader environment. During these uncertain times of global conflict and climate emergencies, she can provide a framework to build resiliency for adults and children; one in which they can find a sense of hope through small acts of kindness and a focus on peace. Through focused approaches of self discovery, clients can find relief from the stress and worry that can easily become chronic.
Personal transformation can bring about positive changes to our own lives as well as those around us. Jen's approach provides opportunity to share stories, life insights, and increase a sense of well being regardless of age.
Finding a new way forward for parents and families can help to change our perspectives and bring a feeling of empowerment and self awareness in guiding our own lives. Personal exploration and developmentally appropriate opportunity for reflection and creativity can shift the way we experience the world and how we perceive the behaviour of others.
Jen also offers supervision sessions that are designed to create a supportive community where art therapists can share experiences, ask questions, and develop professionally. Her emphasis on small group settings fosters genuine connections and collaborative learning, ensuring that every participant feels valued and heard. Her approach to art therapy supervision is both innovative and reflective, emphasizing experiential learning over passive information consumption.
