Practice Information
Therapy is vulnerable. I am always honoured to hold space, and touch down into our shared humanity. To me, therapy is first and foremost a relational playground, a place to be curious. Finding a therapist can be a daunting challenge - the process of searching for the right witness is tough, and worthwhile.
My own history is what initially ignited my passion for mental health and healing. In 2012 I began working in community homes, addictions services, and crisis intervention before completing my Masters in Counselling Psychology at Adler University in 2016. I am grateful to have spent the last 8 years as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#14166) developing my private practice, a space that has allowed me to evolve in my clinical approach and to decolonize the medicalized model of therapy to better address the needs of my clients. I am passionate about working with women of all experiences to create more peace and enjoyment in their lives and connecting to their personal power.
The basis of my clinical orientation is Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and I am informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Narrative Therapy, and Feminist Theory. I completed a 200-hour Meditation Teacher Training in 2018, and these skills show up in the therapy room often. My approach is client-centered and collaborative, and my style is both mindful and directive.
I offer a free consultation so you can ask me any questions you have, while also feeling out if we’re a fit. I hope you’ll reach out.
