Practice Information
Looking for an empathetic and non-judgemental counsellor to support your child? I offer an evidence-based approach that can assist your child in navigating anxieties, peer relationships, life transitions, and mental health challenges. I am passionate about supporting children, youth, and young adults in building resiliency and coping skills. Areas that I have experience working with are anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, and emotional outbursts.
My therapeutic approach is warm, empathetic, and strength-based, emphasizing connection and understanding. With younger clients, I keep sessions engaging and creative using Play Therapy to foster self-expression by using play as communication. Open and honest collaboration with caregivers is a central component of my work with children.
With youth and young adults I emphasize empowerment and a harnessing of coping strategies. Using evidence-based modalities, I help clients identify thought patterns and entrenched behaviors that no longer serve them, while ensuring empathy and compassion remain at the forefront of my approach. I allow clients to determine the direction and pace of treatment I work as a guide to help us stay on track with clear direction and goals.
I also offer SPACE for parents with children who experience anxiety. This is a clinically-proven program that addresses childhood anxiety via parent work.
