Practice Information
Are you feeling overwhelmed, isolated, stuck, lost or depressed? If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship issues or other stressful life challenges, I can help. I provide an inclusive, validating therapeutic space and will meet you where you are at. Together, we can explore and process the challenges you are facing at a pace that is comfortable for you. I am committed to offering you support, tools and strategies to help you feel better, more empowered and hopeful about your future. I practice from a collaborative, strength-based, and trauma-informed therapeutic approach.
Sessions are tailored to your individual needs and goals and may involve more than talking. When relevant and with your consent, I can integrate interventions from attachment-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices or other approaches to support you in growth and healing. We will work together to determine which modalities fit best with you.
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I have a Master’s in Counselling. I have taught at Vancouver schools as well as provided mental health support to adults, children, and youth in non-profit organizations (e.g., in group homes, an addictions/substance use treatment centre) for a number of years. Currently, I am counselling in Vancouver schools and in private practice. I am passionate about and experienced in providing culturally responsive counselling services to adults, children and youth who have a variety of learning needs, family/relationship issues, mental health concerns, substance use and related concerns.
Clients generally come to me looking for someone who gets what happened to them on a deeper level, as well as wanting practical strategies that can help them find relief and support them towards lasting positive change.
Important notes:
- I offer individual counselling to adults, children (6+) and youth.
- I offer in-person sessions in Richmond, BC and secure video sessions across BC. I have some weekday evening and weekend availability.
- I accept cash, credit card and debit card payments.
It takes a lot of courage to ask for support in challenging times. My goal is to help you live a more joyful life. Please contact me with any questions or to book a free 20 minute phone consultation. Thank you for reaching out. I look forward to hearing from you.
