Practice Information

“At some time or other, we all find ourselves unable to cope with life’s difficulties. The aim of counseling is to help you deal with these or other issues, so that you can get on with a meaningful and constructive life.” We are the sum total of our existence and each part of our life has served a purpose. One question  we may will explore is whether these former parts of life now serve us, and if not, what would serve us better.

Chris is a vital and warm individual who works well with men, couples, and youth. His counseling strengths include working with those with depression, anger management, marital conflict, anxiety, and addiction. By coming for therapy, you will be able to freely express and explore your personal issues with a humanly related therapist. Through this process it is possible to find new perspective and meaning in your life.

Chris takes a Multi-modal approach, which targets personal growth, awareness and relationship development among other things. He is interested in a holistic nature of people’s conflicts. The foundation of his work aims at developing and improving the client’s relationships. This includes relationship to all aspects of outward living as well as the relationship to self, physically, psychologically, and spiritually.

Chris received his Masters training through Southern California University and is a Certified Canadian Counselor. His experience includes 14 years of counseling in private practice, contract work with the Federal Employment Assistance Program, Victim Services, First Nations Health Authority, ALS Society and drug and alcohol counseling at Maple Ridge Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centre.  His volunteer work has included working with youth in the Take a Hike Program at John Oliver High School and with the ALS society of BC.
