Practice Information

Allison's perspective on counselling highlights its fundamental role as a supportive and healing process. Counselling is a valuable resource for those who would like to better understand themselves, and their circumstances. Allison believes that a strong therapeutic environment and relationship can foster a space that provides safety and trust, allowing individuals to express their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. Her goal is to meet clients where they are at with a compassionate approach to healing. Her hope is to empower her clients so that they can transform their adversity into learning and growth. She approaches therapy through various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered, Trauma-Informed, Emotion-Focused, Attachment-Based, Observed Experiential Integration (OEI), and a Narrative Therapy lens to help explore, and unpack her clients’ stories. By using these modalities, Allison’s passion is to help her clients build resilience through developing and tailoring coping strategies that will allow her clients to reach their therapeutic goals. Allison considers the uniqueness of her clients’ relationships, family, community and culture when exploring her client’s experiences and trauma. Allison is excited to connect with you and join you on your therapeutic journey!
