She has been working in the mental health field for the past 10 years. She has expertise in dealing with a wide range of psychological concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, body image, relationship and marital issues, and suicidal ideations. She also holds an MSc in counseling psychology completed in 2014 and an MA in sociology completed in 2009 in India. While working in India, she has worked with an EAP as an EAP counselor and leading academic institutions as a school counselor. She then moved to Canada in 2019 and did her third master’s in counseling psychology from Adler University. She is trained in various therapeutic models and tailors her treatment and approach to her client’s needs. She is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. As a counselor, Shriti strongly believes in her clients’ strength and innate ability that they can make decisions that they know are best for themselves. She also believes that change occurs when individuals embrace their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting or escaping them. In therapy, she aims to provide you with immense space and support while you nurture your “baby steps” towards being the person you want to be. ‍
