Hi!

I'm Lorna, owner of LD Counselling & Consulting. I'm a registered clinical social worker, so I'm qualified to assess children's behaviour and offer some diagnoses out of the DSM-V. I choose to disclose that I am neurodivergent myself, diagnosed with ADHD, so I am aware of the difficulties that neurodivergent parents and neurodivergent children are navigating. Further to that, you might see me crocheting in session sometimes so that I don't bite my nails. :) I am trained in Synergetic Play Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing for Children and Neurodivergent folks, and Sand Tray therapy. I predominantly use non-verbal or less verbal modalities because talking about traumatic things is quite hard, especially for kids. I see many families who are navigating exceptionally challenging separation and divorce situations, and children with behaviours that may seem quite challenging to manage.
